What course motor oil in your Mustang's
Hey all, What are you guys using in your mustangs for motor oil. Im looking to see what the popular grades of oil are. 10w-40, 10w-thirty, 5w-30, 20w-fifty, etc.or for that matter just postal service what you are using.

10W30 is what Ford recommends for my 1989 v.0L. I use Castrol GTX and accept used Castrol in all my cars since the early 80s. I read a very well washed engine oil test study dorsum and so (late 70s/early 80s) that showed that the Castrol oils performed very well in many tests.Paul

My dad and I have used Castrol GTX 10w40 in our 85 for all 175k miles. Oil and filter change every 3000 miles. Oil pressure is 45 at idle when warm and 55-60 @ 2000 rpm. I desire to do a pinch test to get a better thought of the engine'south health, but it feels very stiff. I'll tell you this, though, I won't put anything else in the car except 10w40 castrol gtx. If it own't broke, don't fix it.

I run 15w 40 in both my capri`southward . Either rotella t or castrol Tection extra . Both are hd desiel oil. And rotella t is i the 2nd highest in zinc levels

10w-30 Castrol GTX. Not of that constructed **** for me. I just run GTX in all my vehicles since I tin can recollect.

I run four quarts of castrol gtx 10-40 and a quart of lucas oil stabilizer. when i first got this car on the start oil change i put something similar 5-30 in itand after 1k miles or so it began to fume really bad and was eating a quart a week. someone mentioned to put 10-40 and a bottle of lucas in, and so i did this and the last oil alter i simply did recently i noticed that it did not consume much oil perchance a 1/ii quart between a 6 month menstruation and about 2500-3000 miles. my car also leaks oil a fleck from the vcg's and oil pan so some also prob leaked out too.

Mobil 1 10W30 for the life of my Mustang, and there wasn't a single speck of sludge to exist found when I did a headswap at 155K. Regular oil and filter changes every iii,000 miles certainly helped likewise, I'k sure.I observe that information technology runs a bit improve with 5W30 during wintertime.
